Standing at the crossroad
Started to look for my "dream job" 2wks ago and managed to send 5 applications. Had an interview so far. Everything is fine and I'm still looking forward to a job change.
However, my phone rang 2days ago. My ex-colleague called and ask if I'm interested in helping her.
Of cos, if it's the same position and especially the same shitty boss, I'll never give it a consider.
But well, she's from another dept & the position she's offering me now is higher than what I'd and needless to say, higher pay.
Another gd thing is that the boss she's serving has just promoted to be the new managing partner. Which means, the head.
Thus, it tempted me somehow.
1) My cert will not go to a waste
2) I'm already halfway through this path - It'll benefit me if I continue
3) It's gonna be a good advancement if i wish to continue in this line
But well, cons wise:-
1) Job role and salary are not fixed yet. Requires further neg and furthermore;
2)I can never get into the management level.
On the other hand, my dream job will allows me to:
1) Travel around (not desk bound)
2) Opportunity to advance into management level
3) Handle my own portfolio
Cons:-
1) This is something i've never tried and i'm gonna start from scratch
2) The grass is always greener on the other side - Is this dream of mine really that great?
2) The cert I took is somehow wasted
I can't just decide anyhow for I'm no longer young. It's time to choose what I want and put my best into it.
Headache.
